I can’t believe it’s 11 years since this senseless execution of an innocent being. It’s still hard to believe they actually went through with it. I remember following his news daily, praying this wouldn’t happen. However, Lightfoot, [the dog warden] sealed Lennox’s fate with her court testimony …and got promoted too [Animal Welfare Officer]! Thank you for the beautiful poem.

(And many nonvegans are often challenged by the true definition of “welfare”.)
imo, I think that cases such as these are often about exerting control over others, and not protecting others, but only using the latter excuse to gain social appreciation and approval. The victims are typically those who are defenseless and vulnerable. :((
