Today, I’m pleased to announce the release of our first ever white paper at Surge: Covid-19 and Animal Exploitation: Preventing the Next Pandemic – which is now available for you to download entirely for free.
Such a huge amount of research went into putting together this crucial document, and we’re honoured to say that the finished white paper was reviewed and approved by the incredible of Dr. Greger of NutritionFacts.org (who has also just released a new book: How to Survive a Pandemic which I would highly recommend!).
The white paper discusses how nearly every major zoonotic disease outbreak of the last 120 years is inextricably linked to animal exploitation, and until we end humanity’s collective exploitation of non-human animals, we will continue to greatly exacerbate our risk of coming up against major infectious zoonotic diseases with pandemic potential, as well as the looming threat of antibiotic resistance. In our current world, the discussion of pandemics is never a question of if, but instead when. We must act now, for if we don’t, there is no telling how dangerous the next pandemic could be.

But I cannot look at it again… or I will lose my self-control. Today I read about the minks extermination in Holland. My good Lord! But how can it be allowed, how can humans be such bastard murderers?

It’s a different one, hon, but I understand, you get it, don’t torment yourself. The minks on the fur farms with Covid? They all get killed in hideous manners regardless of whether they are “guilty” or not, it’s the rule of speciesism: blame animals for human-caused problems, and hideously torture and kill animals for human-caused problems. 😦
Because they are “just animals” humans don’t need to learn, humans manage after the fact, just vile and predatory, same as always. 😦
