1 First, register with your personal data
2 Then create a new complaint
(To submit and move on, please use the forward arrow toward the bottom of the page)
3 In Part 2 – ” Against which European Union (EU) institution or body do you wish to complain? ” , Select ” European Commission”.
4 In Part 3 – ” What is the decision or matter about which you complain? When did you become aware of it? Add annexes if necessary. ” ,
Please add the following text with your name at the end (You can change the letter in better English, this is just a translation) :
Ladies and Gentlemen,
As we learned from the medias, the Romanian Parliament has legitimized the mass killing of street animals after 14 days.
This violates the EU Directives regarding animal welfare.
The commission has to ensure that the EU – Member States comply with their contracts.
If you doubt my statements, I invite you cordially to inform yourself at the Facebook network. There, the animal rights activists are outraged about this new law in Romania. Global animal welfare organizations provide petitions (eg Tasso.net , Four Paws eV). But this does not seem to suffice .

5 In Part 4 – “What do you consider that the EU institution or body has done wrong? ” , please add the following text: The commission is not doing its job according to the Member State Romania to ask to fulfill its EU obligations concerning animal welfare.
6 In Part 5 – “What, in your view, should the institution or body do to put things right? ” , please fill in the following text: Parliament must be forced to submit to the EU directives. No mass killings of stray dogs ! This should not be legalized.
7 In Part 6 – “Have you already contacted the EU institution or body concerned in order to obtain redress? ” , please select No.
8 In Part 7 – “If the complaint concerns work relationships with the EU institutions and bodies: have you used all the possibilities for internal administrative requests and complaints provided for in the Staff Regulations? If so, have the time limits for replies by the institutions already expired? ” , Please do select Not applicable.
9 In Part 8 – “Has the object of your complaint already been settled by a court or is it pending before a court?” , please select No.
10th In Part 9 – “Please select one of the following two options after having read the information in the box below: ” , please select ” Please treat my complaint publicly ” .
11th In Part 10 – ” Do you agree that your complaint may be passed on to another institution or body (European or national), if the European Ombudsman decides that he is not entitled to deal with it? ” , please select Yes.
12th Do you agree to participate in a short survey (about one minute in length), once your case has been closed, to help us improve the service we provide to complainants? you can select No .
13th Finally, the complaint Submit to finish.

Thank you for easy-to-follow instructions on filling in the complaint to the European Commission. I do hope this is taken seriously by them, the more people who fill in this complaint the better. I wish people from all the member countries complain. Also re-blogged on “Wolf Is My Soul”.

I AM VERY SORRY BUT I DO NOT THINK THAT FILLING OUT THE COMPLAINT FORM IS EASY AT ALL AND I AM VERY CONFUSED. I DO NOT KNOW HOW YOU CAN HELP SINCE IT WAS A STEP BY STEP DESCRIPTION, BUT THERER ARE TOO MANY AREAS FOR CHOICES.. IS THE “ENGLISH” LANGUAGE DENOTED BY “EN”? I CANNOT EVEN FIND THE PLACE FOR THE PERSONAL DATA TO BE ENTERED, AND I DO NOT HAVE A PASSWORD.. DO I USE THE PHRASE “LODGE A COMPLAINT”?

Hi, Diane, I am so sorry for the difficulties, please do not apologize. I just tried it to see if I could give better instructions, and it’s not letting me get anywhere. 😦 EN is for English, but when I select that, it goes blank and there is no option for the complaint form or personal information. I will try again later to see if that bug goes away and will then post better instructions.

See if you can get into Register to enter your personal information. My account is already in English, so I tried to go a different route; I am already registered so that may not be an option for you, but see if you can get into that field if it is already defaulted to English. Thanks.
