Translation: The prosecutor’s office will check in a private zoo “BIOS”, which on the eve of the children found the remains of animals. Those animals that are still alive, kept in appalling conditions. Two exhausted bears crammed into a small cage. They almost do not feed. Last week in Tomsk (Russia) volunteers for animal rights discovered a private zoo where they found two bears and a dog who were contained in horrible conditions. Attached please fine the link to the web-page with photos : http://gorod.tomsk.ru/bios/
Two bears are contained in one small cage without food and water, while the dog is deprived of regular supply of food at all. The owner of the zoo, Sergey Starkov, has had numerous problems with neighbours after their complaints to the police about the bad smell coming from Starkov’s premises.
However, according to the local laws, Starkov has an official license for keeping animal at his premises. Recently, neighbours discovered that during the last winter the dog has been kept in the same cage with the goat; when the goat died of famine, the dog had to eat the remains to stay alive.These animals become crazy because of their suffering.
I ask you, please, to intervene in this dire situation for these animals.

This is an old story, the bears and the dog were rescued in May 2012.

OMG !! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET BEAR “KATYA” FREED FROM A SIMULAR FATE, BUT IT SEEMS IN RUSSIA THEY ARE ALLOWED TO PRIVATELY OWN ANIMALS. WHAT A DISGRACE THIS IS !! THE LAWS NEED TO BE CHANGED FOR ALL ANIMALS IN THAT COUNTRY. THERE CAN BE OR SHOULD BE NO OWNER SHIP AT ALL EVER, FOR ANY WILD ANIMALS. THEY NEED TO LIVE THEIR LIVES AS GOD INTENDED AND THAT WAS NOT TO BE IMPRISONED IN CAGES. THIS IS CRUELTY BEYOND BELIEF. STOP THIS AND LET THEM G TO SANCTUARIES.EVOLVE RUSSIA PLEASE.
