Guadalupe County authorities arrested a group of teens who they said tortured a dog to death in an abandonded home on Tuesday.
Police said the three boys ages 12, 14, and 16 walked into Stephanie Tavere’s yard and stole her beloved dog Toby.
Officers said the teens took the dog to an abandoned house and repeatedly threw the dog out of a second story window.
After its legs were broken, the boys hung the dog in a tree and proceeded to beat it like a pinata, authorities said.
Police said the teens ended up decapitating the dog.
A neighbor across the street saw the suspicious activity and called police.
The teens are being held on charges of animal cruelty resulting in death.
If convicted, they could be put in jail until they turn 19.
Nan Udell, an assistant co-attorney, said local law enforcement are very disturbed by the animal cruelty case.
She declined to show photos to KSAT 12 News that she said are too gruesome to fathom.
Udell said what is also disturbing is that the boys have shown no remorse for what they did.
“We’re very concerned about that,” Udell said. “They have been asked to have psychological testing so we can see if this is a pattern or a fluke. We don’t know right now.”

Three years ago in Texas, three young boys kidnapped a nieghbor’s 5-month-old Pomeranian puppy, named Toby, and took him to an abandoned house. There, they climbed to the top of the building and repeatedly threw this poor pup off the edge, breaking all of his legs. They then strung him upside down BY HIS BROKEN LEGS and proceeded to hit him repeatedly with a wooden board embedded with nails, basically treating this tortured puppy like a pinata. These young monsters then lit his genitals on fire. One of them grabbed a pocketknife and started to cut Toby’s throat. It was at this point that this poor, victimized pup died of his wounds.
I know that you deal in numerous matters on a daily basis and that you have many representatives that assist you. However, I truly hope that, being an animal lover much like myself and millions of others, you will take the time to give this petition some of your time, and deep consideration. We, the animal lovers, need an individual like you to evoke change and make our dreams of animal rights a reality. For even though animal cruelty is technically illegal, it does not carry with it the consequences that it should. Indeed, consequences have been worse for driving a vehicle with no license than killing an animal. I trust you will agree.
This is our plea to you, Congressman Rahall – so as we have dedicated much of our lives to making positive change for the animals of the world, we beg of you to lead us there, to light the way in this darkness and to show us that we had good reason to never give up hope.
In conclusion, I give you my deepest appreciation and thanks for taking the time to read this. It means the world to many of us.

those boys are poison to the society and with their acts, they deserve to be eliminated using the same way they used to kill that innocent creature, despite any argument, the law has to be changed, how come in United States the law are so weak for some acts, we put clowns in the government, they get paid with our taxes and what they do is provide the tools to let go the criminals free. Simple if the people it is cruel with the animals and we don’t do anything, we are supporting their acts, tomorrow they will go and kill another boy.

Malicious evil, evil. They did that on purpose, I think they did it cause they didn’t like the dog barking etc or something. The rage that is inside these 3 monsters is something that needs to be looked at closely. After they turn 19 they need to be tried like adults and sent to prison as if they killed a human being. The nature of this crime is unthinkable. Where they on drugs, drinking, who were they really mad at them punks. Statistics show sociopaths start with animals. There are no words to describe what I feel for these 3 disturbed punks, but then again they knew what they were doing. Keep them where they are never to see the light of day or another animals or human next time will be hurt.

OMG! Why? How could they do this. Makes me shutter! That poor little dog. This makes me think of the girl who threw puppies in the river a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. These are the same kinds of beings who will grow up and work in labs experimenting and dissecting animals. This is just horrible. Thanks for bring this to our attention.

There is no excuse for this!! These kids were old enough to know exactly what they were doing. But to let it go with a slap on the hand just shows and tells them it is no big deal. This is real scary because these are our future adults and they may possibly be taking care of one of us some day. They have to know that this will not be tolerated!!!! It is so sick that there are such heartless and sick people among us!!!

These young boys need to be made an example that animal abuse will NOT be tolerated and is against the law ! Not to mention, something Must be going on in their household to be so cold and unfeeling, no compassion what so ever toward this sweet dog. They should get serious mental health therapy and be tought that animals feel pain just like people do. These children will be a danger without help. They also should have to pay for a nice burial for this poor little dog. So sad, maybe the parents put them up to it ? People can be so mean !!!

This kind of brutality against another living being by these boys is a sure sign of trouble to come. The strictest penalty should be imposed with psychotherapy to determine what is their young lives have made them so evil. Perhaps their home environment has been such that they learned this from their caretakers. If so then they should also be held accountable. Publishing all their names in the local paper will expose them to all their friends, to warn them to stay away. Many people have had tragic childhoods who have never even considered in their worst nightmares to be cruel. These boys will be a danger to their communities, unfortunately even worse after they are incarcerated with those of the same kind.
It is always tragic and angering to hear when animals are treated in the manner to cause the most pain and suffering possible. It breaks my heart for the animal, not the boys. The dog could not fight back and only expected kindness.

FIRST of all, these 3 boys, had no buisness,stealing a dog, off someone,s property! (2nd) The 16 year old, was probably the head, of the other two, (3rd) Where were the Parents, again? (4th) Not to be prejudice,but, Males again, i see and 4th of all,,YES they need to be locked up,,and get pychatric help, immediately, and have follow-ups for a very long time! Crazy Ass-holes!! Better, never, catch, someone do that to my animal,,,cause………,,,,,…….,,,,,
