Help to stop China from selling tiger bone wine

FROM TIGER TIME BLOG

BACKGROUND

A Chinese auction of traditional health tonics scheduled for Saturday, December 3, in a Beijing hotel will feature at least 400 bottles of wine made from tiger bone in a blatant disregard of the global trade ban, according to IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare). For details visit the TigerTime Blog (http://www.tigertime.info/tiger-blog.php?entry_id=1322834843)

Poached for their body parts for medicinal purposes, wild tigers have all but disappeared from China. Illegal trade in tiger body parts and products, driven by the Chinese demand, continues to threaten the remaining populations of tigers, which have declined from over 100,000 a century ago to as few as 3200 left in the wild.

Help us to stop China from selling the tiger bone wine by sending an email to the Chinese authorities and urge them to take action NOW.

This is what YOU can do to help: Please send an email to the following key Chinese email contacts:

SUBJECT

Ban the auction illegally selling tiger bone wine

SAMPLE LETTER

To Whom It Concerns,

I am absolutely disgusted that saving the wild tiger from extinction is being threatened by the imminent auction on December 3rd in Beijing of 400 bottles of Tiger Bone Wine. Surely this a flagrant break of Wen Jiabao’s promise in 2010 when he publicly stated that he is committed to saving the wild tiger. I call on you to do everything in your power to stop this auction and to honour the global ban in the trade of tiger parts. I am sure the massive majority of the Chinese People will support my plea.

One by one, we’re losing many species. The Planet was meant for us all, not just for humans

We can send men in the moon, but would not replace the use of poached animal parts for “medicinal” purposes? What kind of BS is that? Will we ever wake-up to the reality that our selfishness and carelessness will be the humankind’s demise? We don’t deserve to walk the earth amongst these beautiful creatures. I wish we could let them be.

I watched the great Current TV docu (Vanguard show). Was a great way to learn about how the Chinese try to hide the industry but instances in which it is very easy to uncover (any time you offer a lot of money). http://current.com/shows/vanguard/episodes/season-five/tiger-farms/

Asking all nations of the world to cut down CO2 while China is increasing CO2 output seems to be a bit disingenuous to anyone who really stops to consider this. As most people in the energy sector realize China has been putting in about two new coal-fired plants per month, every month for the last decade. That’s a lot of CO2 going into the environment, and in many cities the air pollution is almost as bad as the air quality in Mexico City. It is a significant problem, and that mixed with ozone and other pollutants causes huge smog clouds.

First thing every Am+Eu citizen can still do, NOW before it is TOO late-stop buy Chinese goods! Are you aware that China is predicted to be the #1 world financial leader within a decade? They have no human life values-they are certainly not humane in treatment of any sentient life form-Wake up America while you still have a purse to control the future. None of us are victims of the future. WE ALL create the mass mentality to better this situation and turn it around for all sentient beings happiness or we sit back + play a well worn-out victimization role. I am older, maybe not here much longer, but some of you wll reap the consequenses or demise of the wrong choices. BOYCOTT CHINA with your purse/wallet. You are way more powerful as a group than you realize! You and only you are Their VOICE!!!

“Medicinal Purposes” is a euphemism for erectile augmentation . Why do so many beautiful animals have to die so that primitive, superstitious men from __________ can supposedly “improve” their pathetic erections? No one wants them to breed, anyway…
