BLM wants you to be silenced! We only have FIVE days to save the horses!
July 29, 2010
In a blatantly disgusting abuse of power, the BLM is killing horses, stealing water, and leaching the land, all while refusing to hear you in a efficient, quick manner. Duplicity and dishonesty are the mottos, and the lack of integrity and equity means YOU lose as well as the animals and the land. Watch this video:
Vodpod videos no longer available.
We only have FIVE days to comply with the special form to save wild horses, anything else will go in file 13. Please go HERE now to find out whom you can call and what you can do to protest! Don’t let them steal your First Amendment, too, it is the ONLY thing that can stop them from the continuous raping of the land and murdering of the animals.

How dare you flaunt your intention to murder horses. No gentler animal has ever been created by God, certainly not your sorry ass. stop the killing, and do something helpful to all creation.

Salazar must be shot and Obama impeached. I hate salazar, the oil industry and all their politicians and all BLM assholes, so much. I’d love to be out there shooting down those helicopters. I can’t believe no one out west is yet, they fly low enough to get’m right in the head where their brains should have been, had they any.

One thing that is really pissing me off is how they ask for my zip code! I told them is doesn’t matter, because these are the last horses of the old west and their spirit belongs to America ,and we must save them…Idiots!!!! I’d love to be an ace sniper right now!

Bastards!! Here is a letter I have written to my representatives and the Whitehouse:
There must be an immediate end to all wild horse and burro captures! BLM is taxpayer-subsidized and the taxpayers are against this needless cruelty! While we fight to end these terrible round-ups, we demand that this agency must let the public witness and record current horse capture, transfer and confinement. We also need to end the longstanding transparency problem at the Department of Interior. As your constituent and a concerned citizen, I urge you to secure public right of entry at Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wild Horse and Burro operations. Secretary Salazar himself concedes that this BLM program is economically untenable.Currently BLM only gives access to select persons and groups, arguing that roundups occur on “private property.” This claim is ungrounded. BLM is obligated to assure transparency and provide public access to taxpayer-funded ventures. The agency shouldn’t enlist private entities that block public observation.
People are still shocked by BLM’s ruthless capture of several thousand wild horses in Nevada’s Calico Mountains Complex. BLM rushed horses in subzero temperatures. The traumatized animals fled until soaked in sweat. Moisture can freeze on their hide and lead to respiratory illness. Despite public outrage, the agency intends to remove thousands more wild horses and burros from Western rangelands this summer and fall. BLM also proposes to rigidly curtail public viewing of helicopter herding procedures. The agency wants to impose these same controls at holding compounds that stockpile some 35,000 wild equines on the taxpayer’s dime. How much longer will BLM shirk transparency and lawful public access? As this administration focuses on the Minerals Management Service (MMS) regarding the Deepwater Horizon tragedy, it ought to scrutinize BLM as well — for misusing public resources at the behest of special interests. These cruel and unlawful round-ups must be stopped!
The Horse Nation and Humankind have been partners in the growth of civilization and human development since the dawn of time. The survival and destiny of the two species has been inextricably intertwined throughout the mellinnia, both witness and participant in nearly every important event in the evolution of human history. Horse and Human have stood shoulder to shoulder for thousands of years, involved together in all of the conquests, explorations, expansions, and settlements that have shaped and built our world. More accurately, humankind has ridden the back of this strong, durable, loyal partner through countless wars, migrations, and developments, resting comfortably atop, or in a wagon, or a carriage behind this magnificent ally, always confident and reassured in the knowledge that the incredible strength, loyalty and enduring spirit of our horse brethren would win the day!
The horses that the BLM and Mr. Salazar are harrassing and capturing are American heroes, icons and symbols of the American sprit that built our great nation! They should be protected, not persecuted! End the cruel and useless round-ups now!
Sincerely, Jerry Ryan

Safe for Cows
[…] Montague Stevens saw only the surface of the land he hunted over. His active days afield coincided with the advent of erosion in the cow country, but he did not see it. The better to keep up with his hounds, he practiced riding his horse across the cavernous arroyos which were then invading the fertile valleys, but he did not recognize the invasion as something new in history, nor did he perceive its cause: the terrific overgrazing practiced by the early cowmen. Small wonder, then, that less intelligent men still fail to perceive that something more important than bears is departing from the western range. New Mexico’s grizzlies succumbed visibly to trap, gun, and poisoned bait, but New Mexico’s fertile valleys slipped down the Rio Grande in the night. Neither will return.
The University of New Mexico has done well to preserve this saga of how the state was made safe for cows. How the state is to be made safe from cows is a saga yet to be written.
