Urgent action needed to pass the proposed bill on fur ban in Israel. SAMPLE LETTER below (as provided in intial alert, thank you to whomever wrote it), thank you!

Please also sign this petition if you have not already regarding Denmark’s fur industry (both Denmark and Canada are opposed to Israel’s potential fur ban): http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/stop-fur-industry-in-denmark

VIA: Jane Halevy, International Anti-Fur Coalition

The bill for a total ban on fur trade will be voted on in the Israeli parliament on September 2nd. This influential bill is being put into jeopardy by the extreme lobbying of the fur industry. They are demanding of the Israeli Minister for Trade to fight the bill and without his backing the bill can not be voted in.

Please send a letter today to Israel’s Trade Minister telling him that you support this bill and that passage of this ban is vital to the innocent animals in the fur trade and to worldwide public opinion of Israel!

SAMPLE LETTER:
Dear Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer,

The Israeli bill to ban fur trade is an important advancement in humanity for mankind and Israel, and I give my complete support to the bill and the International Anti Fur Coalition.

The barbaric fur trade causes agonizing lives and killings of hundreds of innocent, sentient mammals all for greed, vanity, and unnecessary fashion items.

If the ban is implemented, then Israel sets an international precedent and other nations shall follow you and view Israel as a global leader in compassion over commerce.

Please act humanely and aid the bill to ban fur trade by taking this important action immediately; Israel becomes a light unto the nations.

Sincerely,

NAME

If the people who wear fur would only take a moment to educate themselves on what their vanity means-they would be so ashamed. Ashamed.

Wearing fur is so totally unnecessary and vile! How can anyone want to wear the skin and fur of a dead animal killed solely for the vanity of some stupid primadonna! I applaud Israel for taking this important step forward to stop the injustice of killing defenseless, innocent creatures. Animals are not on this earth for us to use, abuse, wear, eat, exploit or kill! They have every right to live out a good long peaceful life.

People think if they buy “faux” fur, they are saving animals, and yes, they are saving certain animals, but believe it or not, faux fur is also from animals — yep cats and dogs! People don’t need to wear fur unless they’ve got their nose so far up it can reach uranus (pun intended)!!! Sheep grow wool specifically so we can make clothes and other items. God made them that way, but He did not create animals with fur so humans can make a statement on how rich they are. These people are despicable — animals sacrificed their lives in a horrific way to you stuck up people can flaunt what most people could give a shit about ! LEAVE THE ANIMALS ALONE IN EVERY WAY !!!

These people are cold-blooded killers. They are the people we would love to put into cages forever. Forever. Then we would turn our backs on them and leave them behind while we rescued the animals that they had no business having in their possession in the first place. We would walk away while they pleaded for us to not do this terrible thing to them. We would ignore them just as they had ignored all of the animals they had tortured. Lock them up to give them plenty of time to think about what was ahead for them. Remind them that no one cared what their fate would be, they were on their own. No reprieve. A done deal. No turning back. A nightmare they would have to face alone. If they were hoping for sympathy it would be in vain. Why should they get to experience sympathy when they had absolutely none for their animal victims. Did they never imagine that the most horrible abuse could happen to them too? I guess not because they kill and torture with abandon. Cold-blooded killers and an animals worst nightmare. Why not give them back their nightmare and let them finally experience their own worst fears. They certainly deserve it.
