The humans that had him should be treated as such. This is sickening.

I can only hope his abusers suffer the same punishment they inflicted on him. That poor baby!

Wishing same fate for anyone involved in hurting/abusing/neglecting this baby minus anyone ever helping them in any way.

Unfortunately cases like this are far more common than the average person realizes. Most of them are not followed by the media as this one was, and most never make it to the paper or television news. Most never make it to court. Media attention in this case may make a difference. Courts are reluctant to err on the side of caution in cases that the public are watching closely. Hopefully the media attention this case has received will have the effect of forcing the courts to bring down the hammer on this abuser, or face looking ineffectual to the citizenry they are supposed to serve and protect.

Well wtitten Janette. This sort of neglect and abuse comes as a shock to many people who live in nice comfortable affluent areas and have well loved and cared for pets.
I heard of this via facebook page Justice for Jack. Poor Jack was not rescued in time to save his life but over 24,000 people from all around the world are fighting for his story to be told AND have a petition for harher sentences for those convicted of such abuse. We too have had little media coverage despite the dedicated work of the members.
I do hope when log on tomorrow I will see a that the scum that did this have had the book thrown at them.
Thank you on behalf of all the other Jacks and Chamberlins out there. XX

why aren’t these kind of people taken off the streets and put into jail where they belong – and I don’t mean club med like Michael Vick – hard time – as long as our laws stay that animals are property to do with as one likes this is what we will see. Change the laws and to do that we all need to take a stand so congress hears loud and clear that enough is enough

Everyone can state till they are blue in the face that the laws must be changed. Unfortunately it is not that simple. In order for laws to change we must sway government. In order to sway government we have to get more than one politician to agree with our beliefs, and be willing to put themselves on the line to push the outcome. Not many politicians are willing to commit possible political suicide over animals. However if every couch potato sitting out there surfing the internet and exclaiming that change needs to be made, would get off their butts and get out and support that change perhaps we might be able to make a difference.

This had to be one of the worse cases of abuse that I have ever seen. I hope the owners if you can call them that go thru the same kind of abuse that they put the dear sweet dog.

I live in Suffolk County, NY where they just sponsored a bill creating a register for people who abuse animals. IT’S ABOUT TIME!
The people who did this to this poor animal should be castrated and left out on the street.

When you,you alreadyhave seen or heard all the most horrible things people can do to poor animals….then you see this! What in a world is wrong with the mankind? How cruel can we turn to?
My heart is broken for this poor guy,I hope his life from now on will be good and people around him tender.
For the beast who is responsible for this suffering,I wish and hope a hardest possible punishment. He deserves it!

This is too horrible for words. Jail is too good a place for the people who did this.

I support punishment to the highest degree the justice system allows for the neglect and abandonment of Jack and Chamberlin. Hoping Your Honor finds it in their heart to make an example out of these poor companion animals’ previous owners. R.I.P. sweet Jack. Chamberlin, be strong and get better.
