Dominion is a feature-length documentary presenting an uncompromising, damning exploration of the various ways animals are used and abused by humans, particularly in the meat, dairy, egg, clothing and entertainment industries.

Dominion uses drones, hidden and handheld cameras to expose the dark underbelly of modern animal agriculture, questioning the morality and validity of humankind’s dominion over the animal kingdom. While mainly focusing on animals used for food, it also explores other ways animals are exploited and abused by humans, including clothing, entertainment and research, to convey both the terrifying scale of an empire built on secrecy – and the individual stories of its victims.

Focusing on the legal, industry-standard practices that occur all over the world, the film questions the morality and validity of humankind’s dominion over the animal kingdom, advocating not for minor improvements to their welfare but for a deeper conversation about our right to exploit those we deem inferior to ourselves.

Narrated by Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, Sia, Sadie Sink and Kat Von D, and co-produced by Earthlings creator Shaun Monson.

Filmed in Australia with a global message.

As in the sand some bury their heads,
Innocents are tormented and dead
But for the cruel there is
No place to go.
We will share and
Let all the world
Know

The trailer itself is so heartbreaking, I will never understand how people could ignore such rampant and unnecessary cruelty. 😦

Everyone should see this documentary, the trailer is devastating, I can stop crying … it’s terrible, all those eyes, those looks so full of kindness, we are really cruel beings, humans have lost the ability to show empathy for living beings, every day I feel better among animals, they transmit unconditional love, I cann’t understand so much cruelty.
Thank you for showing us the reality that we do not want to see …
    A big hug dear Stacey.

It’s easy to knowingly accept indoctrination when the vast majority of people support such perversion: righteousness by numbers, indemnity via status quo. People like to believe that they are individual and think independently, but they don’t.

It’s not about perfection, it’s about diminishing as much the negative impact (which is nothing but a euphemism since “negative impact” hardly conveys the true barbarism, hideousness, and hell inflicted on animals by us) we have on other beings. We are all equal in the capacity to suffer, feel pain and fear, mourn, and love.

I just read this quote by Victor Hugo, who said, “Animals run no risk of going to hell, they are there already.” So true. What does that say about us? When you don’t object, you support. Sad and heartbreaking.

I love what you wrote about unconditional love – so very true. Thank you so much, my dear, many hugs and much peace and kindness to you. ❤

I think I’ll never forget that quote from Victor Hugo, it’s as terrible as it is true,
I will not forget your wise words “is nothing but a euphemism since” negative impact “hardly conveys the true barbarism, hideousness, and hell inflicted on animals by us”
I really appreciate your work of awareness in favor of animals, it is absurd to look the other way when cruelty is so widespread among us.
Thank you for everything you do dear friend!!!
