Picture a farm. You’re likely seeing rolling hills of green grass dotted with a few dozen cows. What most Americans don’t know is that the typical small family farm now breeds thousands of animals and confines them in horrendous living conditions. Drone footage of this Costco farm revealed over 20,000 hutches designed to imprison baby cows and separate them from their mothers. There are as many calves on this one farm as there are humans in the entire city.

Confinement

Calves were confined in hutches so small they could barely turn around. They live in these hutches their entire childhood, never let out to run or play.

Greed

The farm owners live nextdoor in a $1.7 million mansion with a pool, tennis court, and boat. Profiting off of the backs of baby animals they tear away from their mothers.

Death

DxE investigators found a mass graveyard with bodies of cows piled on top of one another. This is the only place babies and mothers were seen together.

I blame myself, Jesus, I shouldn’t open my PC and get on with the blogs notices… I have most of the horrendous and nightmare forging news ever.
I blame only myself, yes, since each night is the same sad story… and then, I can’t take the sleep or if I manage to fall asleep, my mind still elaborating the images or videos I saw.
I keep asking myself “why”. Since years, now. No answers. Well, isn’t true, there I found a couple of answers: specism and anthropocentrism.
    Tomorrow is another day.
And I will have to deal with my idiot colleagues at work; today I found in the secretary a flyer advertising the “saddle of venison” and the list of the participants was long… as much as I was disgusted.
    Hugs dear and kisses :-)c

I’m right there with you. The images are horrendous, sleep-stealers. 😦 Sometimes you just have to take a break from watching and looking; written descriptions are awful, too, but somehow easier to take. People need to understand and witness what happens, and sometimes that is the only way to accomplish progress: by putting fact and history to who is otherwise known as a euphemistic “meal” or “product” or “clothing”. They are more than that. Thanks, hon, hugs. ❤
