Tyler Atkinson from Ballarat, Victoria, in Australia, boasts online and in hunting forums about killing cats with his prized possession, a professional hunting bow. He even posted pictures of his deeds, a good thing because we can use it as evidence!
He said: “Got my first feral cat this morning. Called him into about 3 meters after spotting him sniffing around about 50 meters away, and put a supreme on track and he was mine inside 6m.”
We urge the Chief Police Commissioner to start an investigation and prevent any other innocent animals from being killed by this man.

Signed. She looks like our tortoiseshell cat. 😦 Some of the farmers around here shoot feral cats with guns. We had one offer to shoot the magpies nesting in our tree. They nest there every year now. I think they know they’re safe with us.

I have rabbits in my yard who I hope know it’s a sanctuary for them, like your magpies (I see them occasionally but they don’t nest in my yard. That’s wonderful they know they can have security in your yard! I was thinking the kitty looks like a calico. I love calicoes, I am owned by one, that picture broke my heart (and made me exceedingly angry). I hope they prosecute him. Thanks, Sarah.

I have a cat that keeps bringing me half eaten dead rabbits and birds. There is something around that is eating cats and wildlife. My cat disappeared, haven’t see him for a couple of months. I have seen a coyote lurking around, which I will kill if I get a chance. There was also a covey of wild turkeys that come through my yard once or twice a week, which I haven’t seen for a while. I am willing to bet the coyote got them, or scared them away. So say good by to the coyote. He will be dead the next time I see him, unless I miss.

I honestly hope you don’t kill the coyote. Maybe your cat will return – ? Maybe the coyote had nothing to do with your cat’s disappearance. Please think twice about killing the coyote.

Perhaps you didn’t know, but Australia has had problems with cat invasions all over about 99.8% of their wildlife habitats. They are the descendants of cats that ran away from their owners who imported them and started invading all of Australia. Cats are the greatest danger to Australia’s biodiversity and if this goes on, many endemic species in Australia will become extinct. It may be cruel, but think about it in the bigger picture. Biodiversity loss is one of our biggest problems, and even if one doesn’t believe in climate change, this is one thing that has been proven and can be seen on IUCN’s list of endangered species! Getting rid of feral cats in Australia may be the only thing that prevents many bird species and marsupials that are endemic in Australia from becoming extinct. As much as it hurts me to say that: Sometimes one population of invading species has to be hunted down so that many more generations of endangered and endemic species can live on in a very carefully constructed ecosystem.

Mikaly knows truth. If it wasnt for our population control do you know how many animals would be extinct. Yea, idiots over hunted way back when before they knew better but now its a needed substance to our world. Find a hunter and thank him for what he does… as you eat a cheeseburger from McDs.

Populations fluctuate on their own in accordance with nature. Greater resources equates with greater subsequent populations and vice versa. Was that digital sarcasm? Thank a hunter? For what? Greed, abuse, exploitation, murder, torture, all in selfish, needless manners? As for the cheeseburger, I’m missing tone – was that a joke? Vegans don’t eat meat.

If there are lethal methods, there are non-lethal methods. Instant gratification via death should never be an option – all things being equal, one person cannot be killed to save a million, it’s not our choice to make.
