Nosey the Elephant Needs Your Help in Florida Today!

PETA has just learned that a strawberry farm in Florida is teaming up with infamous exhibitor Hugo “Tommy” Liebel to host rides featuring the suffering elephant Nosey (aka “Tiny”) this weekend, despite abundant evidence of Liebel’s decades-long neglect of her. Please join PETA in urging Oak Haven Farms & Winery in Sorrento, Florida, to cancel the rides immediately.

Last year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture ordered Liebel to pay a penalty to settle nearly three dozen charges of violations of the federal Animal Welfare Act, most of them related to his mistreatment of Nosey, including repeatedly chaining her so tightly that she could barely move and denying her necessary veterinary care. Please urge Oak Haven Farms & Winery to make the prudent and compassionate decision to cancel the rides on Nosey immediately.

    I couldn’t find the petition but when I did a search for “Nosey” there are a few items about Nosey’s rides being cancelled at different venues. So hopefully they are being cancelled at the strawberry farm too. 🙂

They did take the petition down; I updated the alert as either they cancelled the rides, which would be great, or they just removed it because the weekend has passed and that’s when the rides were supposed to take place. If I get any other updates, I will let you know. Thank you so much!

    Their ringer t-shirt will be the type connected women’s clothing used mostly as their
    sports uniform. It all just boils down on the preferences of the two.
    As additional consumer protection, manufacturers have to be certified to provide further proof of their
    compliance with the uniform guidelines in the use of potentially harmful products used in processing raw materials.
