SAMPLE COMMENT

I am gravely disappointed to learn that Sears sells I Love Wolf Hunting t-shirts. Hunting animals is cruel and unnecessary.

Animals are inherently sentient and possess the capacity for thought and emotion, including contentment, loneliness, fear, and agony. All animals, human and non-human, experience the desire to live free from exploitation and suffering and fear the manifestation of death. Humans have adopted dangerous constructs of speciesism, the prejudicial regard of non-human species, to validate the brutality inflicted upon them. Using this manufactured status of superiority, humans have sanctioned the use of animals as commodities, regarding them only as products to benefit our goals and needs. We embrace inequity to justify our treatment of animals, which is mere savagery concealed in socially-approved descriptions.

Please recognize that glorifying hunting is unacceptable and discontinue selling merchandise that is contrary to such. Until this time, I will boycott Sears and all related stores.

Thank you for your attention to this appeal.

Basically Sears reply is we got your letter, don’t care about your feelings or values and we will sell what we want in order to make a buck, BUT we hope you will still shop our store. NOT! I use to work at Sears and since then have not shopped there because of their non-caring insensitive ways!

I contacted Sears and got this response: “We appreciate your contacting us regarding the Sears ?Wolf Hunting? merchandise. We take your feedback seriously and have taken appropriate action to ensure all products on the site fit within our guidelines.” Does anyone have a link of the shirt from Sears website? I’d like to e-mail it back to them.

I’m not sure why but this site is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I’ll
check back later on and see if the problem still exists.

To some Neanderthals, perpetrating suffering and death is their passion, but they should be prevented from doing it. Purposely going out into the wilderness looking for an innocent (endangered) animal in order to shoot it is psychopathic. If you have to go, take a camera. I wish I could be relieved of having to share this world with the cruel, ignorant and heartless. If all the blood-thirsty were beamed up and off the planet, we could live in a virtual paradise.

Like we need more calls to violence against innocent animals who are minding their own business in whatever habitat is left to them by greedy, money-grubbing “humans”. Our children surely don’t need to even see a t-shirt such as this, much less wear one. I wrote a letter to Sears.
