I have exciting news to share! Thanks in large part to your phone calls and support, Hainan Airlines has just confirmed to PETA that it will maintain its ban on shipping primates to laboratories. In a written statement, Hainan representatives said they “fully agree” with PETA on this issue and that they support our “effort in the protection of animal rights.”

Because no China-based airline is willing to get involved in this cruel practice, primate experimenters have no easy or feasible route to import primates to the United States from China. This means that more monkeys will remain with their families in the wild and fewer monkeys will suffer a fate worse than death in laboratories, where monkeys are commonly force-fed experimental chemicals, cut up, addicted to drugs, and killed. PETA will remain vigilant to ensure that no airline starts or resumes shipping monkeys to laboratories under pressure from the cruel primate experimentation industry.

Only three major international airlines still ship monkeys to laboratories: Vietnam Airlines, Philippine Airlines, and Air France. PETA will continue to increase our pressure on these airlines until they stop delivering primates to laboratories. You can help by taking action at PETA.org/AirCruelty!

I received the email about this last Friday. So glad someone posted it. This is a small victory — but there are still other airline who have agreed to continue shipping primates. I pray for a day when animals are free from human harm.

    Dear Blogger,
I cannot seem to locate a “contact me” so I apologize for using this post. I was wondering if I may copy your Animal Liberation Frontline banner to use on my blog? Or, do you know how I may go about receiving permission?

      Hi, Girrl_Earth ~

I responded via the Contact Us form you sent, but I’ll also respond her and copy what I wrote, thanks for writing:

Thanks for your message and interest! Most of the banners on my site are offered by the actual sites as banners for other sites to use. For example, the PETA banner comes directly from PETA as one of their offered banners for others to use. For the ALF banner, though, I suggest contacting Peter Young directly and asking if you can use his picture to link to his site. You can probably ask via his website or via Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/peter.young.963434?ref=ts&fref=ts. I am certain it would not be a problem, though, as we are all supporting animal rights.

Thanks again for your interest and please provide a link to your site, I am very interested in what others promote.

At the same time, they dutifully implement the rules and regulations of the camp and see to it that the camp is wellordered and disciplined. As environmental and humanitarian issues become more and more prevalent in the media, I would like to see people taking a stand. In weerwil van haar geschiedenis, ik aanbid de show up en stijl. China’s overall retail sales rose 15% in the first half of this year, and that growth was driven in large part by women under the age of 35, buoyed by China’s $586 billion stimulus package and a stock market.
