Please send message using sample letter, modified, or your own requesting NO PAROLE for this sadist.

Please also sign a petition HERE

On January 30 2009, Juan Daniels was sentenced to 9 years in prison for the horrific cruelty he inflicted on his family’s dog, now known as Louis Vuitton. He was convicted of felony animal cruelty. It was the longest sentence ever given for animal cruelty in the history of Alabama. Juan Daniels chained, beat, and set his dog on fire because he wasn’t allowed to drive the family car. He is now up for parole. The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles will consider his case on August 24 2010.

NO! This man should not be allowed parole. Eighteen months behind bars is way too short for someone who channeled a lifetime of anger and hate into horrific cruelty against the family pet. Come on, if he is going to have that sort of reaction to being denied use of the family car, what’s going to happen when something else pisses him off. He has a problem with authority – being told “NO” – and he shows it. Violently.

The Parole Board reads all letters sent to them concerning these cases. They become a permanent part of the inmates file.

This is a call for action. Please write the parole board and ask he remain behind bars. Be polite but firm. He is not ready to be paroled.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

PLEASE SIGN PETITION HERE

PLEASE NOTE: All letters should reference: “Juan Daniels, AIS#263875″

SUBJECT
No Parole for Juan Daniels, AIS#263875

SAMPLE LETTER
RE: Juan Daniels, AIS#263875

August 5, 2010

Dear Board Members,

I have learned of extremely disturbing and malicious cases of animal cruelty committed by Mr. Juan Daniels, AIS#263875, and I am writing to express my support of denying this inmate parole and to request he be required to face the maximum penalty to which he was sentenced, nine years in prison. Mr. Daniels committed deliberate and methodical torture on an innocent, sentient dog, named Louis Vuitton, by restraining, beating, and setting him on fire. It is essential to recognize that Mr. Daniels’s decision to harm this gentle, innocent non-human animal was premeditated as demonstrated by the chronicle of abusive events: on January 30, 2009, Mr. Daniels, in response to being denied the family car, subsequently committed these atrocious acts on the family pet, subjecting him to immense pain and suffering.

When I try to imagine what possible motive animal abusers entertain for subjecting their animal victims to such malicious, heinous acts of brutality, I fail, but I am thankful for a lack of cognitive understanding and rationalization. To voluntarily engage in such malicious behaviour suggests sadistic tendencies, and Mr. Daniels’s actions, causing unmitigated pain and suffering, demonstrates his incontrovertible lack of morality regarding other living beings and a gross disrespect for the law. In fact, a person who shows such a remarkable lack of compassion towards non-human animals has the ability to show such indifference towards human animals. This link between animal and human abuse has been established, and if we excuse his criminal behaviour by offering a lesser punishment we only harm ourselves by unjustly nullifying cruelty as acceptable behaviour.

I as well as global contingent of millions of concerned people are hoping that you will take an unyielding position against animal cruelty and hold Mr. Daniels accountable by sentencing him in accordance with the maximum penalty allowed, nine years in prison. If the justice system does not administer the harshest penalty available, it is indeed excusing his malicious behaviour towards sentient beings, and to excuse this type of sadistic cruelty harms all by disregarding the basic moral tenet of respecting life and appreciating the value of it. Apathy permeates throughout society and damages all, and we therefore need to teach our children that the law does not excuse, allow, or enable cruelty against human or non-human animals. We need to demonstrate in both word and action that the human essence of empathy does not exist to excuse maliciousness, it exists to provide compassion and justice to the brutalized and punishment to those who willingly deviate from this capacity. If we do not do our duty to provide this, we harm animals and invite injustice into our society.

I know your time is limited and I want to thank you for your attention and consideration.

How could they even think about putting JUAN DANIELS on parole!! Law Makers know all too well that these type of people, those who are cruel to animals, will, NO DOUBT do this again! And not only that…cruelt to animals is usually a pathway to harming and/or killing human beings as well!!! THIS BASTARD needs to stay behind bars to the full extent of his 9 year sentence!!!!! DO NOT ALLOW THIS AWFUL PERSON TO DO THIS AGAIN!!!!!!

    juan daniels was sentenced
    to years nine
and that is really NOT a long
    enough time
    parole is not what should
    happen because when
    he gets out he might
    do this again
would you have treated him so
    mild
if he did this to a child?
    which is the direction
    he just may go
    keep him in jail
    do not let him go

You know, even if you have so little regard for animals that you would even CONSIDER releasing this man after 18 months, think about who he might take his “anger issues” out on now that the poor animal is not there to take his abuse. Maybe a child???? Obviously he’s too much of a coward to go for anyone big enough to defend themselves. Leave him where he is so he can’t hurt anyone else!

I respectfully request that this man be kept incarcerated indefinitely away from the society that he so badly abused by setting fire to a dog because he was denied use of a car. He cannot control his anger and his next victim if not another animal, could be a child or a person. I cannot imagine the dogs pain at being deliberately set alight. Animals and small children are the most vulnerable members of our society and they need to be protected. Our prisons and death rows are full of these societal misfits who have no place in a world they can roam at will to maim, rape, kill, and torture for slights that are real or imagined. KEEP THIS MAN BEHIND BARS WHERE HE BELONGS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

this evil person be released on parole. What he did to this dog is
unforgivable. He will hurt another animal or even a human being when

When someone has such little respect for a life… you have to wonder what is next? How anyone could inflict this type of pain and torture on any living creature is beyond my comprehension… and in my heart and mind know that this is just the begining. For someone to have so much evil in them… it doesn’t just go away. He should be in prision for life, as he is dangerous now and will always be.

Please realize that animal abuse of this magnitude is a precursor to or is concurrent with abuse towards other living beings. Please do not grant this man parole. Please have him serve his full term and following his release from prison please DO NOT allow this man to have contact with any animals or children.

If we do not start enforcing strict sentencing on animal cruelty, we will never put an end to it. And as long as it is only a slap on the wrist, there is no fear on the part of the person committing the crime.

If this person is released, how will he take his anger out on an animal the next time because with his mental outlook, he surely blames the dog for what happened to him. He certainly would never admit to his wrongdoing. He belongs in prison, or the next time it could be a human if a dog is not handy for him.
    LEAVE HIM WHERE HE IS!

I am know that if he was freed he will turn to animals again next time the poor victim will not be so lucky and then who is next. He needs to stay where he is so all are safe for God knows where he might of gone. Keep him where he is, please for a very long time. May he never see the light of day ever again.
