From AnimaNaturalis
More than 300 people have protested against holding Tordesillas del Toro de la Vega for the sixth consecutive year. Convened by PACMA, AnimaNaturalis and CAS, with the collaboration of different groups and animal associations have symbolized by crosses arranged in a pyramid, hundreds of bulls who have been killed in the town of Valladolid.
In the valley crosses the protesters wanted to remember the bulls speared to death in this place and have made a huge banner that read, “Murdered in Tordesillas.” This year, next Tuesday, September 14th, bananas will be the victim of this cruel tradition.
Journalist Ruth Toledano has been commissioned to write a manifesto has emphasized the senselessness of this barbaric tradition. These arrived from different parts of Spain and Europe have expressed their disgust with slogans such as: Rights and for the animals!, Tordesillas, torture bulls! or Bullfighting abolition.
To the organizers and participants, it is incomprehensible that the Toro de la Vega is listed as a National Tourist Interest. An aberrant celebration with which it identifies itself by a majority of Spanish society.
After the protest in Tordesillas, activists moved to Valladolid, where he convened a second demonstration against this barbaric event.
