Colonel and 3 other dogs were locked in a garage for 7 months in a Kansas City, MO home. Colonel was starved to the point where he could not be saved and the three other dogs were seldom fed. Despite repeated calls to KCMO Animal Control, no action was taken until it was too late to save Colonel. It is up to the Jackson County Prosecutor to file charges against all parties involved in the abuse, and up to the city and county officials to enact AND enforce laws protecting our pets. Let’s not allow Colonel to die in vain – please sign this petition demanding Colonel’s killers be held accountable. We will forward this petition to the prosecutor as well as city and county officials requesting more be done to safeguard animals from abuse and neglect.

Is there a way to sign on another petition site other than change.org? I am no longer a member, nor do I want to give them my information. Since the recent revelations on the sites corporate intent of profit seeking first, Change.org no longer acts in the best interest of fairness and justice for either people or animals. Would love to see this petition on another site.

Dogs are wonderful, loyal and loving creatures and I’m truly sick at the many times i’ve read of cruel, evil people badly abusing them to the point of death. WHY do these lowlives have dogs when they obviously don’t want them??? The only way to stop these scum is to hit them where it hurts…give them large fines, ban them for life from owning an animal ever again….and send them to prison for at least a year. This still wont give them the suffering they felt fit to give to innocent animals…but it’s a start!!
